A relaxing art making journey to connect with yourself and a personal intention through clay.
The Little Mama is inspired by my favorite piece of ancient art, the Woman of Willendorf, thought to be nearly 30,000 years old. She is a 4 inch tall, faceless, charmingly rotund little lady statuette who art historians believe was originally created as a fertility figure, good-luck totem, or representation of the ancient Mother goddess.
In this workshop, you’ll be guided to slow down and set a personal intention that you would like to “birth” into your life. Once your intention is set, you will be guided through the steps of making a Little Mama in easy-to-use air dry clay. Molly will also encourage you along the way to learn a new skill - to “trust the process” of making with curiosity and presence. At the end of the workshop, you will have your very own Little Mama to take home and be a totem or representation of your intention, of what you want to cultivate and bring forth in yourself.
Location – the workshop room is in the lower level of Symphony Knoll: 15 Mt Airy Rd South, Croton on Hudson. Wheelchair accessible.
Notes – Some experience with clay or air-dry clay is helpful, but certainly not necessary. Beginners are most definitely welcome and encouraged to join the fun!
Registration - $65 which includes materials
